Mindset Is So Important

The events of today symbolize how important it is for us to have the proper mindset when dealing with life situations. Congress decided to pass on the economic "bailout" package of the financial institutions. They could not muster the votes in the House of Representatives to pass it. For now, that bill is dead.

What is interesting is to listen to all the pundits commenting on what is happening. To them, the sky is ending. Even the leaders of the Fed and Treasury are mentioning how bad things are going to get. Perhaps they are correct; that is not something that I can comment upon. However, I see how the mindset of many is leading to an uneasiness in general. This entire situation, the run on the institutional banks was a result of panic by the stock investors. Their reality was created in their minds. First they saw the stock getting hammered down to next to nothing and, then, it happened.

It is time that everyone take control of their thoughts. There are still wonderful opportunities out there. The stock market, as an example, is a mess. However, it is also a buying opportunity. Warren Buffet is taking that approach. It is all how we view it. The mindset determines out reality.
